HIGH OUTPUT COMBINING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF COMBINING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A high output combining system and method for controlling operation of such system is provided to minimize manufacturing cost by using minimized number of exciters and power amplifiers and allowing power to be transmitted in an efficient manner through antennas. CONSTITUTION: A combining system comprises a signal source(1) for generating a transmitting signal; an exciter(2) for receiving the signal from the signal source and modulating and amplifying the received signal into a predetermined size; a power amplifying unit(3) for amplifying the signal modulated by the exciter; a dummy load(4) and a combiner(5) provided with the signal amplified by the power amplifying unit; antennas(6,7) for receiving output from the combiner and radiating radio wave; a key pad(8) for operating antennas; a display(9) for displaying operation state of the key pad; a signal detector(10) connected between the signal source and the exciter, and which determines whether each channel generates a signal; an input signal path selector(11) for connecting the selected signal to the exciter; an RF driver path selector(12) connected between the exciter and the power amplifying unit, and which controls the power amplifying unit so as to improve operation efficiency of the combiner; a plurality of pickup units(13) for sensing the output state of the power amplifying unit; a switch(14) for feeding high frequency power selectively to the dummy load or the combiner; and an integrated control unit(15) for receiving signals from each unit and transmitting control signals to each unit.
