发明名称 TUBELESS TIRE ASSEMBLY HAVING DUAL STRUCTURE
摘要 PURPOSE: A tubeless tire assembly having dual structure is provided to keep the minimum pneumatic pressure level between a rim and an inner support member even though a tire assembly is punctured by a sharp object such as a nail. CONSTITUTION: A rim(20) is attached to the circumference of a disc wheel(21), and a side ring(23) is set at the end of the rim. The side ring covers a tire assembly(22) having a liner(5) for keeping airtight and prevents the tire assembly from being separated when the tire assembly is expanded by injected air. The tire assembly is hung to the side ring when the side ring is connected with the rim. The rim has a valve(24) supplying or discharging air to keep the pneumatic pressure of a closed space between the tire assembly and the rim regular. The tire assembly forms the closed space between the rim and the liner of the tire assembly. When the closed space is filled with pneumatic pressure, the tire assembly absorbs a shock from road surface as well as distributes the weight of a running vehicle. An inner support member(30) is attached to the liner of the tire assembly. The support member has a smaller radius than the outer radius of the tire assembly. The inner support member is mounted to the tire assembly by a bead(31) protruded to the mounting surface of the tire assembly. The bead of the inner support member is hung to a protrusion(32) of the tire assembly. Therefore, the inner support member keeps the position regular and promotes airtightness. Air is discharged from a gap between the inner support member and the tire assembly when the tire assembly is punctured. Thus, a space between the inner support member and the rim keeps pneumatic pressure regular.
