摘要 |
PURPOSE: A radioactive waste vitrification system using plasma arc is provided to significantly reduce the amount of radioactive waste and achieve a superior stability in the radioactive waste disposal process. CONSTITUTION: A system comprises an injection unit(A) for receiving and crushing injected radioactive waste; a melting and incineration unit(B) for melting and vitrifying the waste at a high temperature by generating plasma arc through the use of DC power, and destructing exhaust gas of activated organic carbon; an exhaust gas purifying unit(C) for purifying the exhaust gas emitted from the melting process; a molten material collecting unit(D) for collecting the molten material vitrified during the melting process; and a waste water collecting and treating unit(E) for collecting and treating the waste water generated during exhaust gas cooling and purifying process.
