PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To employ a discoid pointer and to make light to a luminous pointer body also incident on the surface of a scale disc by reflection in a pointer instrument. SOLUTION: A left pointer 80 is constituted of a long luminous pointer body 80a and a disc member 80b with a circular arc-shaped cross section. The luminous pointer body 80a is supported coaxially on the tip part of a left pointer shaft 52 at a boss part of a rotary base part 81 thereof. The disc member 80b is mounted on the rotary base part 81 of the luminous pointer body 80a at the top part 83 thereof. The disc member 80b covers the luminous pointer body 80a from the surface side thereof. The rear of the disc member 80a is formed as a reflection layer 85 and the reflection layer 85 is made to make incident a part of the light of each light source 70 travelling to the side of the rotary base part 81 of the left pointer 80 which passes through a left ring part 21 of a light guide plate 20 and a left through-hole part 13 of an instrument plate 10 to be reflected toward a scale disc 10a.
