PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stretchable knitted fabric at low cost excellent in elongation and recovering ratio of elongation, having a soft feeling, a puffy touch feeling and suitable for various applications such as clothes, clothes materials and industrial materials. SOLUTION: This stretchable knitted fabric is characterized by including a side-by-side conjugated filament obtained by two kinds of polyester polymers along the longitudinal direction of the fiber in an amount of >=10% based on the total weight of the composing yarn and having >=55% average elongation in the length and width direction and >=60% average recovering ratio of elongation therein.
