PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous secondary cell with good cycle characteristics and shelf life characteristics. SOLUTION: For a cell system using a double oxide of lithium and manganese as a positive electrode activator, and a carbon material as a negative electrode activator, the electrolyte is composed of a mixed solvent containing at least cyclic carbonate and chain carbonate dissolving lithium salt to which 0.01-10 weight % of cyclic acid anhydrite is added. More than 95% of the mixed nonaqueous solvent is composed of cyclic carbonate and chain carbonate.
