PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator of a motor which improves heat dissipating performance, and can reduce the length of a coil end by increasing a contact area of a coil and the stator so as to more quickly take in the heat from a thermal source. SOLUTION: At least one out of bottom surfaces 24b, 25b of slots 24, 25 is inclined in a plane rectangular to the axial line of the stator 21 in such a manner that a normal line H to the bottom surfaces 24b, 25b has a prescribed inclination angleθto the radial direction center line of the slots 24, 25. Coil wires C1, C2, etc., are wound so as to be in contact with the bottom surfaces 24b, 25b.
