<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator capable of locking and unlocking a door by switch operation and also by the manual operation of a lock knob and reducing operating sound, the number of components, electricity passage time, therefore manufacturing costs, and electric power consumption. SOLUTION: The actuator is provided with a motor 3 provided with an armature shaft 3a to be rotated in the normal and backward directions, a worm 4 mounted on the armature shaft 3a of the motor 3, a worm wheel 5 to be engaged with the worm 4 and rotated, and an output member 6 provided with a notch part 6a to receive a protrusion 5a provided on the worm wheel 5. The protrusion 5a and notch part 6a are arranged in such a way that the protrusion 5a is engaged with the notch part 6a of the output member 6 located at one operation end on the basis of the rotation of the worm wheel 5 to move the output member 6 toward the other operation end and that the protrusion 5a is released from the notch part 6a at the other operation end.</p> |
