PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a torque converter to be used for a CVT device, and to improve the capacity thereof. SOLUTION: A torque converter to be used for the device has an impeller, a turbine and a stator. The stator of the torque converter has an wing-shaped blade so that the torque converter has a torque converter area and a fluid coupling area in a low-speed ratio area less than 0.5 of the speed ratio.
