PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a galvanized steel sheet excellent in antidazzle characteristic regardless of cooling condition after hot-dip metal coating in the galvanized steel sheet, and a production method thereof. SOLUTION: In the galvanized steel sheet having the galvanized layer consisting essentially of zinc on the steel sheet surface and having excellent antidazzle characteristic, either or both of 0.03-0.50 wt.% Sb and 0.001-0.100 wt.% Pb and 0.1-3.0 wt.% Mg are compositely incorporated in a way such that Sb/Mg or Pb/Mg or (Sb+Pb)/Mg ratio becomes 0.05-0.50. Then, this galvanized steel sheet is produced, by after annealing the steel sheet in reducing or non-oxidizing atmosphere, passing the steel sheet through the galvanizing bath so prepared that the above components is obtained without being brought into contact with the atmosphere.
