PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous vacuum refining method of molten metal and an apparatus therefor in which even in case of molten alloy having a low specific gravity, the continuous vacuum refining treatment can efficiently be achieved without using a large facility, and the setting cost of this apparatus and the maintenance cost can be reduced. SOLUTION: In this continuous vacuum refining method of the molten metal and the apparatus for using this method, impurity in the molten metal (1) is vaporized and removed by stirring the molten metal at a molten metal stirring part B in a vacuum-reduced pressure treating chamber beforehand reducing the pressure and preheated. Thereafter, the molten metal is transported into a molten metal discharging part C in the is vacuum-reduced pressure treating chamber through a connecting hole from the molten metal stirring part B, and continuously discharged into a vessel in refined molten metal recovering chambers (10a), (10b) through the recovering passages (8a), (8b) connected with the molten metal discharging part C. and reducing the pressure. When the refined molten metal (9) is recovered by returning back the pressure, the refining molten metal recovering chambers (10a), (10b) for discharging the molten metal (9) are alternately used by using plural recovering passages (8a), (8b) and plural refined molten metal recovering chambers (10a), (10b) connected with respective recovering passages.
