A network (2) has a telephone (1) or data terminal sending a message to a receiving terminal (3) via a server (4). The connection is made only if the sender's address is authorized in the register (5). Alternatively, only listed addresses are connected via broad-band, priority links. Conversely, a call initiated by the second terminal (3) is transmitted to the first (1) by a priority link only if the first terminal is listed.
