PURPOSE: A system and method for supplying internet information connected with image contents is provided to offer information concerning the image contents such as a TV program or a movie, and to maximize the advertisement effect by advertising goods related to the image contents. CONSTITUTION: A system for supplying internet information connected with image contents. is comprised of a user terminal, an indexing stage(600), a media server(300), an advertisement/information database(400), a web server(200), and a mail server(500). The user terminal retains a display unit to output image contents provided on the web. The indexing stage(600) indexes the image contents with associated advertisements and information. The media server(300) stores indexed image contents files, and distributes the image contents. The advertisement/information database(400) stores the indexed advertisements and information. In case that an image is distributed to the display unit of the user terminal through the media server(300), the web server(200) obtains an advertisement and information indexed with the image contents from the database(400) and transmits it to the user terminal. The mail server(500) takes charge of the transmitting and receiving of e-mail.
