PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a compact connection structure and increase the connection strength in a receptacle connector and a plug connector and to offer sufficient protection of the contact when pulled out from the opposite connector. SOLUTION: The contact holding wall 17 and the groove shape guide wall 18 of a plug connector 2 are respectively inserted in and firmly connected with the main insertion recess 23 and the groove shaped sub insertion recess 44 of a receptacle connector 1. The housing 24, 9 of each connector 1, 2 comprises a portion which surrounds the contact holding wall 31, 17. A vertical rib formed at the inner face of the side wall of the connector 1 is fitted in the vertical groove of a prescribed depth formed at the side wall of the connector. |
