OPTICAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM OPTIMIZING PERFORMANCE OF OPTICAL CHANNEL, AND METHOD USED FOR THE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that optimizes the transmission performance of an optical channel on real-time basis. SOLUTION: A reception node measures damages to an optical signal, so as to adjust the optical signal from a generating source whose optical channel is damaged, in a way that the optical signal is controllable at all nodes in a network and a source node of the connected optical channel is decided. Then a control message is sent to an identified source node, and the message instructs that the source node should regulate a variable optical attenuator relating to a corresponding optical channel light source to conduct insertion of more or less attenuation. The measurement and regulation process above is repeated, until the corresponding optical channel creates optimized performance with respect to the measured damage.
