PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling structure for a clean room or the like forming a latticed portion for placing FFUs or ceiling panels by joining a main ceiling rail with an auxiliary ceiling rail without a gap therebetween. SOLUTION: An outwardly pointed hollow flange part 30 is formed at the lower end of the vertical base part 30 of the main ceiling rail 1 and an upwardly open engagement groove 26 having a sloping face 25 opened toward an end is formed at the rear end of the upper surface of the hollow flange part 20 along the main ceiling rail 1. An engagement projection 14 having a sloping face 13 narrowing downwards for slidable engagement with the engagement groove 26 is formed on the lower surface of one end of a joint member 10. With the engagement projection 14 engaged in the engagement groove 26, the joint member 10 is laid across the hollow flange part 20 and the end of the auxiliary ceiling rail 2 and fixed in place with a fixing screw 53 to join the main ceiling rail 1 with the auxiliary ceiling rail 2.
