PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of always obtaining excellent image quality and reducing the cost required correct image and reducing the time taken to correct image. SOLUTION: This image forming device is equipped with a test patch forming means for forming a test patch on a photoreceptor or a transfer body, a density detection means for detecting the image density of the test patch formed by the test patch forming means, and an image density correction means for correcting the image density according to the image density of the test patch detected by the density detection means. The device is also equipped with a 1st judging means for judging whether or not the image density should be corrected based on a dormant time from turning off the power source of the image forming device till turning on the power source next. |
