<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To design a battery pack which is superior in efficiency and is excel lent in both heat radiation and mounting capability. SOLUTION: An affection factorΦof the heat radiation performance is found by the number of unit cells and disposition arrangement form. Based on found the affection factorΦand the flow velocity U of the cooling air at the cooling air passage obtained by the structure of the fan and the dust forming the cooling air passage, the cooling coefficient K is found. Based on the cooling coefficient K and the generated heat amount J of the unit cell, the temperature rising amountΔT of the unit cell is found. When the temperature rise amountΔT of the unit cell satisfies the allowed valueΔT lmi, the number of the unit cell, disposition arrangement form and the structure of the fan and the duct are determined. When the temperature rise amountΔT of the unit cell does not satisfy the allowable valueΔT lmi, the number of the unit cell, disposition arrangement form, and/or the structure of the fan and the duct are modified in design so as to change the affection factorΦof the heat radiation performance, and/or the flow velocity U of the cooling air.</p> |
