<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine which allows spatially compact installation, reducing white smoke and odors especially in a low-speed range, without enlarging the structure to enhance comfort in driving. SOLUTION: In this exhaust emission control device for the internal combustion engine provided with a catalyst 60 in an exhaust system, the exhaust system comprises main exhaust passages 16, 17, and a sub exhaust passage 71 branching from the main exhaust passages 16, 17, and the catalyst 60 is installed to the sub exhaust passage 71.</p> |
