PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating anode tube with small focal shift and with improved strength of a rotating anode. SOLUTION: The rotating anode tube comprises a rotating anode 2 of double- support bearing system, a cathode 3, and an envelope 4, and a disc-shaped target 8 of the rotating anode 2 is combined with a target-support shaft 12 with a target-support part 27 at the center, both ends of the support shaft 12 is combined with, and supported by, a first rotation-support part 24 and a second rotation-support part 25 in free rotation. The both rotation-support parts 24, 25 consist of rotors 13, 14, rotating shafts 18, 19, bearings 20, 21, and fixed parts 22, 23, respectively, and that with almost same structural measurement, and are arrayed almost at symmetrical position against the target-support part 27. With this construction, since thermal extension of both sides of the target- support part 27 are nearly the same at the rotating anode 2 when the temperature of the target 8 is on the rise, the target 8 hardly moves, and the strength of the rotating anode 2 is improved due t the double-support bearing system.
