PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground determining device for the installation of a heavy machine, allowing rapid and accurate determination. SOLUTION: This ground determining device for the installation of the heavy machine is provided with an input means for inputting condition data; a display means for displaying the condition data, a determined result and a countermeasure method; and a processing means for processing the condition data. When the N-value of the ground, the shape and weight data of the heavy machine, and the kind of a laying material are inputted as the condition data, the determined result computed by the processing means on whether the heavy machine can be installed, is displayed on the display means. In the case of determining that the heavy machine cannot be installed, the countermeasure method is displayed on the display means.
