PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite roll for a rolling treatment in which a roll with high performance corresponding to various shapes as a work roll for the rolling treatment and excellent in wear resistance, surface roughening resistance and toughness is inexpensively produced. SOLUTION: As to this composite roll for rolling treatment made by centrifugal casting in which the external layer is composed of a high-speed steel, and the internal layer is composed of ductile cast iron, a composite stock made by centrifugal casting, in which the external layer material has the chemical components of, by mass, 1.0 to 3.5% C, 0.2 to 2.0% Si, 0.2 to 2.0% Mn, 3.0 to 10.0% Cr, 4.5 to 10.0% V and one or two kinds of Mo and W by 2 to 15%, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is subjected to hot forging at a forging molding ratio of 1.3 to 5.0 and is molded.
