PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refining method using chromium-containing slag in which the chromium oxide contained in the slag is efficiently reduced to obtaine a chromium alloy at low cost and the chromium oxide in the slag is recovered and used as a resource by improving the quality of the slag, such as expanding property, etc. SOLUTION: The slag 15 containing the chromium oxide produced at decarburizing refining in a refining furnace 10 is left in a furnace at the following charge of a molten iron 13 is charged, and after blowing oxygen and heating up to 1400-1600 deg.C while adding carbonaceous material into the furnace, the oxygen-blowing is stopped, and after applying a reduction treatment by adding Al-containing alloy into the slag 15, the slag 15a is removed to perform the decarburizing-refining by adding a chromium-containing alloy into the molten iron 13.
