PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior structure for a building capable of maintaining over a long period the effect of reducing noises caused by rain, without using additional members. SOLUTION: The exterior structure 1 for a building comprises a metallic plate 2 and a heat insulating material 3 which are affixed to each other with a viscous adhesive 4 made fibrous and having elasticity. The viscous adhesive 4 having elasticity acts as a spring to absorb vibration to reduce noises caused by rain. Even if different kinds of materials are affixed and integrated together, stresses can be repeatedly absorbed by the elasticity. Further, because the fibrous viscous adhesive 4 is so formed that numerous fibers are twisted together, vibration can be absorbed or damped in numerous spaces formed between the fibers, whereby the effect of damping the vibration and the effect of absorbing impacts can be enhanced.
