PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement device for an immunochromatography test piece, capable of certainly detecting a colored part of the test piece, without having to enlarge size of the device. SOLUTION: This measurement device 1 has an irradiation optical system 20 and a detection optical system 30. The irradiation optical system 20 has a light-emitting element 21 and a mixing rod 22. The detection optical system 30 has a convex lens 33 and a CCD image sensor 36. Light from the light- emitting element 21 diffused by a diffusing plate 23 is made incident on the mixing rod 22, and is mixed. The light, mixed inside the mixing rod 22, is diffused by a diffusing plate 24 and is irradiated on the immunochromatography test piece 10 as measurement light. Image of the transmitting light from the test piece 10 is formed on a light-receiving face 37 of the CCD image sensor 36 by the convex lens 33. The CCD image sensor 36 picks up the image formed by the convex lens 33 on the light-receiving face 37.
