PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synthesize playing waveforms, that are made more realistic or are full of controllability, by controlling generation start timing of the waveforms for performance events such as note-on and note-off. SOLUTION: In a playing module which describes playing waveforms, position information that indicates the position where timing is to be matched with a prescribed performance event is included in the middle of the time axis of the playing waveforms. A playing module relative to the playing waveforms to be generated is specified with performance event and control timing of prescribed musical sound characteristics in the module is determined in accordance with the position information in the specified playing module and the specified performance event. The prescribed musical sound characteristics are controlled in accordance with the determined control timing and musical sounds corresponding to the playing module are synthesized. |
