<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To let pixel electrodes overlap with each wiring to improve an opening rate, and also to effectively use the light from backlight by using a high transmittance film as an interlayer insulating film. SOLUTION: This is a liquid crystal display device, wherein it comprises gate wiring, source wiring, switching elements arranged in the neighborhood of the crossing part of the gate wiring and the source wiring, and wherein the switching has a gate electrode connected with the gate wiring, a source electrode connected with the source wiring, and a drain electrode connected with a pixel electrode for applying a voltage to a liquid crystal layer. An interlayer insulating film formed of a photo-sensitive organic film, the transmittance of which is 90% or higher to light of 400-800 nm wavelength and the spectral transmittance of blue light of which is lower than that of green and red light, is arranged on the switching element, the gate wiring, and the source wiring. The pixel electrode is arranged on the interlayer insulting film.</p> |
