PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved device, circuit, and method for constituting an image corresponding to the three-dimensional distribution of radiation sources. SOLUTION: An imaging system is disclosed which includes an image head, a signal processor, a data acquisition system, and an image processing computer. The image head includes a detector and an opening for directing radiation to the detector. The detector is equipped with a plurality of detecting modules 206. The detection modules 206 are equipped with a plurality of detecting elements 212. The detecting elements 212 are fitted to a circuit carrier 214. The circuit carrier 214 includes a channel for adjusting and processing electric pulses generated when the detecting elements absorb the radiation. The amplitude of the pulses indicates the intensity of the absorbed radiation. The detection module finds only an effective event, i.e., the detecting elements having a stored amplitude exceeding a predetermined threshold by using a fall-through circuit.
