<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel, capable of reducing or eliminating a level difference from the surface of a case or the like, after mounted on the case or the like. SOLUTION: A light-emitting element 56 and a light-receiving element 58 are arranged at a lower part of a panel portion 26, and the light from the light-emitting element 56, passing through a transmissive hole 28 formed in the panel portion 26, is reflected at a finger and received by the light-receiving element 58. Therefore, no light-emitting portion, arranged at the upper part of the panel portion 26 for propagating the light on the panel portion 26, is required and so step difference between an upper wall 16 of the case 14 and the panel portion 26 is reduced.</p> |
