PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation structure for preventing an upper structure from separating from a foundation structure even if a large vertical load due to an earthquake is applied thereto. SOLUTION: In this base isolation structure 1, a base isolation device 4 is installed between the foundation structure 2 and a isolated upper structure 3, and a PC steel material 5 is provided extending over the foundation structure 2 and the upper structure 3 through the base isolation device 4.
