STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR RUST PREVENTION OF ANCHOR BOLT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the portion of a structure supporting anchor bolt not exposed to the outside. SOLUTION: The base bottom part 2 of a structure 1 is fixed to a foundation 3 by screwing nuts 8 onto anchor bolts 4 buried in the foundation 3. A metal plate 5 is put on the foundation 3, and the base bottom part 2 is directly supported by the metal plate 5. The anchor bolt 4 is covered by a rust prevention cover 9 in a clearance between the foundation 3 and the base bottom part 2. The rust prevention cover 9 comprises a synthetic resin tubular body 10 and an elastic packing 11 installed at both ends thereof. The anchor bolt 4 is coated with rust inhibitor 12 inside the rust prevention cover 9. The elastic packing 11 is pressed against the base bottom part 2, and seals the inside of the rust prevention cover 9 so as to prevent rust inhibitor 12 from leaking and water content from invading. A load on the structure 1 is received by the metal plate 5.
