PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a technique of imparting a layer having an excellent adhesion property and high design characteristics to the front surface of a fluororesin coated steel sheet. SOLUTION: This design resin coated steel sheet is formed by providing the front surface of the metallic sheet with a primer coat film formed of a resin consisting essentially of a polyether sulfone resin and a polyetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) resin and providing the surface of the primer coat film with a translucent finish coat film formed of a resin consisting essentially of the PTEE resin and the polyether sulfone resin. In addition, the extreme surface colored pattern layer formed of a resin consisting essentially of at least one kind of the PTFE resin and perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether- tetrafluoroethylene copolymer is formed in spot form within the front layer part of the finish coat film.
