PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commutator wherein a ring varistor can be easily and surely attached to a riser, the riser and the ring varistor can be directly bonded, and imperfect electric continuity between the riser and the ring varistor can be prevented, and use the commutator in rotor. SOLUTION: Bending of the riser of the commutator is performed twice. Consequently, a receiving part of the ring varistor is formed after fusing, and the riser and the ring varistor can be directly bonded.
