PURPOSE: A method for taking a public-opinion poll online is provided to carry out a survey of public opinion online, to limit eligibility for pollees, to fix the contents of questionnaires gradually, to limit a survey time, and to incorporate a reliability of opinion research into service for pollees. CONSTITUTION: A server receives applications for opinion research(202), and provides an ID to each applicant. If the first applicant accesses the server and inputs his ID(204), the server shows subjects for opinion research on his web browser(206). If the first applicant selects a desired subject(208), the server checks whether the selected subject requires more than 2 public-opinion poll classes. In case that the subject requires more than 2 public-opinion poll classes, the server classifies the first applicant as a certain class among many public-opinion poll classes(210) and shows him primary opinion research questions corresponding to the classified class(212). If the first applicant clicks on an item as an answer for one of the questions(214), the server stores a point corresponding to the clicked item(216).
