<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device the position of which can be measured even if separated from a sheet. SOLUTION: This device comprises a pad 101 having a grid pattern 103, a pen-shaped input device 104 to be moved on the pad and detectors 105 and 106 for detecting the position of the pen-shaped input device. The detectors comprises a grid pattern reader 105 which detects the position of the pen-shaped input device by reading the grid pattern from optical information obtained from the sheet and a penpoint position measuring instrument 106 which detects the position of the pen-shaped input device by detecting the acceleration and the angular speed of the pen-shaped input device.</p> |
