PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar water heater suppressing the diffusion of low-temperature water into a hot water storage tank by easing the force of the water spouted into the hot water storage tank from the spout at the tip portion through a conduit and maintaining the temperature of the hot water inside the hot water storage tank high by preventing the low-temperature water from mixing with the hot water inside the hot water storage tank to the utmost. SOLUTION: In a solar water heater, a hot water storage tank 1 circulating hot water between a solar energy collector 2 and the hot water storage tank 1 is arranged in the up side of the solar energy collector, and a conduit 4 guiding the water from a water supply opening to the bottom part of the hot water storage tank is provided in the down side of the water supply opening 30 opened into the hot water storage tank in such a manner that it reaches the vicinity of the lowest part of the bottom from the rear side erected wall 10 of the hot water storage tank. In the conduit, a water inlet 41 that is expanded more than the cross-sectional area of a water-conveyance part is formed at the upper end part of the water-conveyance part 47, and a cross-sectional expanded part 48 that is expanded more than the cross-sectional area of this water-conveyance part is formed at the tip portion of the water-conveyance part. A spout 49 with the opening area equivalent to or larger than the cross-sectional area of the water-conveyance part is formed in both sides of this cross-sectional expanded part.
