PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly change the EGR rate in a cylinder at each stroke in relation to the intake system structure of an internal combustion engine with an EGR device. SOLUTION: A introduction hole 23 for the exhaust gas from an exhaust passage is provided upstream of a branch section 13 where an intake passage 9 is branched for each of cylinders 3A to 3D, and the intake passage 9 is formed so that the passage volume from the introduction hole 23 to the intake holes 4A to 4D of their respective cylinders 3A to 3D become equal or nearly equal to each other.
