PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device equipped with a contact electrifying device where the wear of an image carrier is restrained to be little a faulty electrification due to soiling by toner is hardly caused and an image quality defect in a horizontal stripe state is prevented. SOLUTION: This image forming device is equipped with an electrifying device 10 provided with an electrifying roll 2 coming into contact with an image carrier 1 moving in a direction shown by an arrow A at a contact position C and electrifying the image carrier 1, and a power source for electrification 6 applying bias voltage obtained by superimposing oscillating voltage on DC voltage to the roll 2 and causing discharge in a single polarity between the image carrier 1 and the roll 2 on a more downstream side in the moving direction of the image carrier than the contact position C, and an image is formed on a recording medium P by forming an electrostatic latent image on the image carrier 1 electrified by the device 10, developing it with toner so that a toner image is formed on the image carrier 1, and finally transferring and fixing the toner image on the recording medium P. |
