PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an auxiliary exposure multi-leveled in terms of light quantity with a small circuit scale in a potential division developing type fringe control. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic device, an area having at least three values of different potential levels Vc, Vw and Vr is formed on a photoreceptor by using an exposure device, and different kinds of coloring particles are developed by normal development and reversal development at two values of potential levels Vc and Vr excepting the middle potential level Vw. The device is equipped with an auxiliary exposure means forming potential for preventing fringe development at the edge of an image formed area in order to prevent the fringe development, and the auxiliary exposure means sets the auxiliary exposure amount by modulating a laser driver in terms of pulse width. |
