<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote self-diagnostic system capable of always ensuring the operation of a vehicle in a satisfactory state by transferring the state information of the vehicle to an external device such as a home server, managing the information and instructing maintenance to a user based on the state or automatically imparting a maintenance request to a car dealer. SOLUTION: Various sensors 3 being state detecting means are mounted on a vehicle 1. The various sensors 3 are connected through a dialogue device 5 to an input port of a controller 7 with built-in MPU. Also, a portable telephone device 9 functioning as a transmitting means is connected to the controller 7. A home server 13 being an external device is installed in a house 11 of the user of the vehicle 1, and an modem 15, a CRT display 17 and a keyboard 19 are connected to the server 13. When a command is transmitted from the home server 13, the state information obtained by the various sensors 3 of the vehicle 1 is returned.</p> |
