摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving the weldability which is the problem when used in a nonoriented silicon steel sheet in which excellent high frequency magnetic properties are secured by a Cr-containing componential system. SOLUTION: In a nonoriented silicon steel sheet having a componential composition containing, by mass, 1.5 to 20% Cr and 2.5 to 10% Si, in which the total content of C and N is reduced to <=100 ppm, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities and also having specific resistance of >=60 &mu;&Omega;cm, an insulating film having a C content of <=0.4 g/m2 is formed on the steel sheet surface in which the three-dimensional surface roughness is 0.15 to 0.50 &mu;m by the central face average roughness SRa, the cut face area ratio in the central face is <=80%, and the number of projecting parts per mm2 of the unit area cut by the central face is >=50.
