PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the performance for cleaning residual toner on an intermediate transfer roll, and to shorten the cleaning time. SOLUTION: In the case of performing cleaning on the intermediate transfer roll 6, this image forming device can shorten the time required for cleaning, and to improve the cleaning performance within a specific time by making a photosensitive drum 1 and the intermediate transfer roll 6 rotated faster than processing speed, by means of applying AC bias being superimposed on DC bias.
