A surface smoothing method using a multi-headed sanding tool. The sanding tool comprises three cylindrical sanding tools (10), which rotate in one direction, indicated by arrow (8) and three cylindrical sanding tools (1), which rotate, in an opposite direction, indicated by arrow (9). The six rotation axles (3) are housed in a drive (11) mounted on a turning shaft (12). The sanding tools (10), which rotate in the rolling direction, are rotated slightly faster than the other sanding tools (1), rotating in the opposite direction, to maintain the same relative sanding speed.
