PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing optical device in which influences of a ghost image can be decreased by a simple structure when the ghost image is produced by unnecessary light entering in a specified direction to the optical device having rotational asymmetry. SOLUTION: In the photographing optical device 10 which uses an imaging optical system 1 having a rotational asymmetry optical effective face, a ghost image is produced when unnecessary light enters the imaging optical system 1 from a specified direction 14, and therefore, the device is provided with a preventing means against unnecessary light to prevent unnecessary light from entering in the specified direction 14. In Fig 1, the specified direction 14 is defined as the direction to the ground.
