PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical sound synthesizer which synthesizes sounding structures of a musical instrument and faithfully simulates saturating condition of a resonator (such as strings and tubes) of the instrument as well. SOLUTION: The synthesizer has a waveform generating circuit 601 which generates arbitrary waveforms and a closed loop circuit 103 that circulates waveforms outputted from the circuit 601 in a circulation circuit, in which a delay circuit 605 and a low pass filter 604 are connected in a loop manner, and takes out the circulating waveform data as desired musical sound data. Moreover, the synthesizer is provided with a level sensor 101 which detects amplitude levels of the waveform data being circulated in the circuit 103 and a compressor 102 which controls the levels of the circulating waveform data in accordance with the detected value of the sensor 101. |
