PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the directivity of an array antenna over a wide band and to enable miniaturization by narrowing an antenna element interval at the same time. SOLUTION: When the phases of received signals from the respective antenna elements of the array antenna are equal, the array antenna becomes a high- efficiency antenna and when the phases are reverse, the received signals are canceled. In order to provide such a phase difference, a phase shifter is inserted for providing a phaseϕ(ω) defined from an antenna element interval (d) and a feeder line length (1). Thus, the desired directivity is provided over the wide band and the miniaturization is enabled by narrowing the antenna element interval (d).
