PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for writing a mark or space by exactly placing it spatially. SOLUTION: The optical disk has spatial characteristics (notch, bump or the like) which deform an analog, lead and data signals intentionally. In the mark or space placed in the center of the spatial characteristics, the deformation does not affect the binary, lead and data signals as a result. When the edge of the mark or space is near the spatial characteristics, the binary, lead and data signals as a result are changed. For the calibration, the mark or space is written in next to the spatial characteristics within the range of time for starting writing. As a result, the range of time for writing which does not change the binary, lead and data signals is obtained. It is understood when the mark or space must be written in for ensuring a correct spatial arrangement from the known time and known spatial position.
