<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an operating rod lightweight and to reduce cost. SOLUTION: The operating rod 1 is constituted of both a tube material 3 in which an engaging part 2 is formed at the tip and a wire rod 6 of which the base end is bent and formed in the shape of a loop 4 and which is provided with an oblong hole 5 long in an axial direction. A plated wire rod thinner, lighter, and easier to work on than a conventional metal round bar is used for the approximately whole except the engaging part 2 of the operating rod 1 to make it lightweight. The engaging part 2 in which a taper-shaped engaging protruded part 2a and neck part 2b are sequentially continuous is previously formed by rolling machining at the tip of the tube material 3 and is subjected to a plating process. The tip of the wire rod 6 is inserted into the base end of the tube material 3 by a wire rod bending machine, and the tube material 3 together with the inserted wire rod 6 is bent approximately at a right angle. By this constitution, time and labor for a plating process after shaping is saved, and the number of processes is reduced more than before.</p> |
