PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material, having enhanced suitability to detection with an infrared sensor and superior in image preservability without causing deteriorating in photographic image quality. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material contains fine particles of at least one metal or metal oxide which does not contain silver and the absorbance of the metal or metal oxide at the wavelength, at which its spectral absorption becomes maximum in the range of 400-800 nm is lower than the absorbance at 900 nm.
