PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite function device capable of not giving an influence on an image processing operation by storing data coming in the middle of the operation in a memory a different function has when the capacity of the memory a certain function has been used up in the composite function device having an electronic file function and an image recording memory such as a facsimile function. SOLUTION: In this composite function device provided with a plurality of image processing functions and their respective dedicated storing means, when image information is stored in the dedicated storing means of one image processing function in the plurality image processing functions, in the case that unused capacity is insufficient, a part of the image information is also stored in the dedicated storing means of another image processing function.
